
Havana, Dec 25 - The National Library of Cuba hosted the presentation of the seventeenth edition of the academic journal Cuadernos de Nuestra América, a joint project of the Russian Embassy and the Center for International Political Research (CIPI, for its acronym in Spanish), reported Canal Caribe through its digital platforms.
The event was attended by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Josefina Vidal, the Director for Europe and Canada at the Foreign Ministry, Roberto Victorio Fernández, along with the Russian Ambassador to Cuba, Viktor Koronelli, and the director of CIPI, Doctor in Sciences José Ramón Cabañas Rodríguez.
This edition is dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War and the 65th anniversary of the restoration of diplomatic relations between Cuba and Russia.
Representatives from the academic and diplomatic community linked to the initiative were also present.
Koronelli stated that his compatriots aspire to expand cooperation with the Cuban academic community to better explain Moscow's stance and coordinate actions in international forums in response to external pressures.
The diplomat added that the project will strengthen collaboration between Russian and Cuban experts and stimulate new joint initiatives.
Cabañas Rodríguez emphasized the importance of the journal in the current international context, which demands immediate solutions and effective coordination of global efforts.
CIPI researcher, Doctor in Sciences Mario Antonio Padilla Torres, presented the 17 articles included, authored by writers from both countries on historical and contemporary political topics.
