Camagüey, Feb 20.- With the analysis of the main deficiencies affecting tobacco production and the actions to be implemented in the current calendar to overfulfill the agreed plans and increase exports, the work balance meeting of the Tobacco Collection, Processing and Rolling Company was held.
Producer Hernán Acosta, from the municipality of Guáimaro, spoke about the delays in the processing of bank loans for farmers who are willing to join the cultivation of this exportable item.

Likewise, other participants in the meeting elaborated on ways to contribute to reducing lags in tobacco production and the importance of acquiring quality raw material for cigar making.
Stability in the personnel carrying out the rolling activity constituted another of the issues of concern, so completing the workforce and improvements in payment for this activity are a priority.

Ricardo VaronaPestano, director of the Company, highlighted during the exchange that the 2026-2027 campaign is a good stage to obtain better results and reach the 100 hectares of planted tobacco, which will allow achieving higher yields.
During the 2025 work summary of the Tobacco Collection, Processing and Rolling Company, the most outstanding workers were recognized.
Hernán Acosta, from the municipality of Guáimaro, was selected as the best producer; Delvis Camacho, from the provincial capital, was named the best manager; and the El Surco Base Business Unit, located in the Camagüey capital and specialized in cigar production for export, was awarded for its productive results.
