Tehran, Mar 11.- The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) claimed today to have destroyed the operational infrastructure of U.S. forces in several countries of the region, as part of the 36th wave of attacks of Operation True Promise-4.
Iranian state television broadcast on Wednesday a statement from the IRGC specifying that the offensive, launched on Tuesday, targeted U.S. military installations in Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, and Iraq.
According to the text, the attacks were directed against the U.S. Navy's Fifth Fleet in Bahrain, the Al-Udeid air bases in Qatar, Al-Udeiri in Kuwait, and Harir, located in northern Iraq.
The Revolutionary Guard indicated that the operational infrastructure of the U.S. army in those locations was destroyed through the use of Qader, KhaibarShikan, and Emad missiles.
So far, the United States has issued no official comments on the claims broadcast by Iranian television.
Meanwhile, the U.S. newspaper The New York Times reported that the Iranian military response to the joint U.S. and Israeli airstrikes damaged at least 17 U.S. facilities, including military bases and diplomatic dependencies.
The newspaper noted that its report is based on satellite images, videos verified on social media, and statements from U.S. and Iranian officials.
It also indicated that some U.S. installations have been targeted in multiple attacks since February 28, which suggests that Iran's level of military preparedness could be greater than initially anticipated. (Text and photo: PL)
