Camagüey, March 13.- The Hero of the Republic of Cuba and Vice President of the National Association of Economists and Accountants Ramón Labañino Salazar, highlighted the capabilities of the Socialist State Company in Camagüey during his visit to the ExpoCam 2024 Fair.
Accompanied by prominent figures such as Roberto Conde Silverio and Inés Josefina Torres Mora, Labañino Salazar recognized the importance of science and innovation in the economic and social development of the country.
He showed special interest in the contribution of the Young Computer and Electronics Club to the digitalization of the country and positively valued the role of local economic actors in facing current economic challenges.
During his tour of the fair, he exchanged impressions with members of the Mipyme “Los Navarros SRL”, and learned about natural and traditional medicine projects, highlighting the relevance of these sectors for national progress.
The fair, which will last until March 16, is an example of how much can be done for the people and also the ability to face the great obstacles in pursuit of the country's development, mainly in food production, tourism and computerization, said Labañino Salazar.
The challenges are great, he added, but we have the human resources to face the blockade and achieve important indicators in import substitution and exports.
In that context, he alluded to ingenuity and the ability to innovate and create, as was clearly seen at the stand of the Agroindustrial Company Ruta Invasora with alternative productions with rice flour of high quality standards.
