Camagüey, March 21.- The training of new leaders, attention to the problems and concerns of adolescents and the alternatives to ensure their training in patriotic and revolutionary values ??was debated in the plenary session of the Provincial Council of the Federation of Students of Secondary Education (FEEM in Spanish) in Camagüey.

Among the main concerns of the adolescents, the need to train the FEEM leaders to properly represent their membership, the difficulties in the development of vocational training, the problems of food supply for the internal centers and the attention to own gardens.

In this context, the lack of interest of some twelfth grade graduates in pursuing higher education, the dangers of alcoholism, smoking, drug addiction and pregnancy in adolescence, sexually transmitted diseases and the influence of culture were also highlighted. foreigner that could overshadow appreciation for national culture.

Yuneisy Ramos Vázquez, member of the Provincial Bureau of the Party in Camagüey, highlighted the case of Santa Cruz del Sur as an example of what can be achieved by interacting in an attractive way with the FEEM centers, based on the management experience of that municipality and urged to replicate the cultural and sports meetings with students in other territories.

Arley Silva Velázquez, official of the National Committee of the Union of Young Communists (UJC) delved into the Women's Military Service, highlighting the enthusiasm of the young women in facing this challenge.

At the meeting, he addressed the various responses to requests made from the base, including the innovative proposal to establish a military service adapted for Journalism students. This initiative seeks to provide specialized training that is relevant to their future professional development, both for women and men. 

Amanda Barbara Viamontes, national president of the FEEM, emphasized the importance of effectively implementing the Feliz Sin Drogas and No Seas Uno Más projects, in addition, announced the creation of the 'Mella Project, in collaboration with the University Student Federation, to address the questions and needs in Vocational Training and announced that this year the FestiFeem will be held at the national level, with Camagüey as host.

In an open dialogue with the youth, Heinier Lian Carvajo Baxter, First Secretary of the UJC in the province, participated; Amanda Barbara Viamontes, national president of the FEEM; María Eduarda Jorge Torres, provincial president; Nereisi Gutiérrez Labrada, Coordinator of Government Social Programs; and Loreley Suárez Capdevila, director of Education in the territory.

During this meeting, the importance of educating new generations in the responsible use of new technologies, integrating them into community activities and promoting their active presence on digital social networks was emphasized.

As a result, pages have been developed within the organization that highlight female empowerment, social inclusion and other significant achievements, thus promoting indigenous Cuban culture and values.

The commitment to academic and work excellence, as well as loyalty to the nation's historical ideals, resonated at the meeting, demonstrating the enthusiasm and determination of the participants to contribute to the development of their country.
