Camagüey, control, livestock mass

Livestock control exercise advances in Camagüey

Camagüey, April 4.- To ensure the completion on May 31 of the national exercise of control over the livestock mass, Camagüey is obliged to visit 154 producers daily in all the municipalities of the province.

Misdelys Fonseca Sosa, head of the department of genetics and livestock records of the agriculture delegation, reported that the province remains within the national average in terms of the execution of this control.

Despite the challenges, the process has revealed both irregularities and significant progress; shortages have been detected in the inventory of the herds and a considerable number of undeclared births of cattle, totaling 2,196.

Positive aspects have also been observed, such as an increase in the participation of producers in the registries and an increase in the birth rate of 10 percent, an achievement that had not been achieved in previous years.

In addition, greater milk production is reported with the collection of six additional liters delivered daily, these efforts reflect the dedication of the 13,099 livestock owners.

The successful completion of this monitoring exercise is crucial to maintaining integrity and sustainability in the region.

With the commitment of all those involved, Camagüey is heading towards a more prosperous and regulated future in the livestock sector. (Enrique Atiénzar Rivero/ Radio Cadena Agramonte collaborator) (Photo: Taken from the Internet)
