China-Latin America Industrial Park Project signs framework collaboration agreement with Camagüey (+ Photos)

Camagüey, April 14.- The China-Latin America Industrial Park Project (PICLA) and the Provincial Government of People's Power of Camagüey signed a framework collaboration agreement with which bilateral relations of cooperation and collaboration are strengthened.

As an opportunity for all actors in the economy, including the business system and new forms of management, Governor Jorge Enrique Sutil Sarabia defined this event, and among the advantages he mentioned the incorporation of suppliers and inputs and the rescue of installed productive capacities. and the endogenous potential in the economic infrastructure of the demarcation.

For his part, Qiaoming Huang, president of PICLA, considered that this is a historic day, since the progress made so far will allow us to achieve even more objectives, and said that this will connect Camagüey with China; while he assured that this step constitutes a commitment with the province and Cuba.

PICLA will benefit local development from a multidimensional approach, encourage foreign investment by opening collaboration and cooperation projects and generate productive chains in strategic sectors.

Among the closest materializations is the one that involves the Camagüey Universal Products Marketing and Services Company for the location of an In Bond warehouse for the storage of merchandise that will also arrive in the East of the country, and it is hoped to locate the Industrial Park in areas of the Fairgrounds, belonging to the Provincial Accommodation Company.

The development of the food industry; cultural, commercial, academic and institutional exchange; and the rise of technologies applied to artificial intelligence in the different platforms that make up the project, are among the purposes to be materialized.

Also on the day, a framework collaboration agreement was signed between PICLA and the University of Camagüey Ignacio Agramonte Loynaz; while the Medical Sciences department presented a letter of intent on the mutual possibilities of relationships.

The approach of the China-Latin America Industrial Park Project to Camagüey dates back to September 2023 with the presentation of the province's Development Strategy, in November an exchange was carried out with authorities and businessmen of the territory and at the beginning of the current year a visit took place work officer of the PICLA-Camagüey Coordinator to China.
