Ramallah, Dec 27.- The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) accused the United States and other Western powers today of being responsible for the murders of journalists in the occupied territories during Israeli attacks.
In a statement, the left-wing organization said that Washington and its allies are complicit in the crimes committed by the government of Benjamin Netanyahu.
In this regard, it denounced the death yesterday of five communicators from the satellite channel Al-Quds Al-Youm when an aircraft opened fire on an external transmission vehicle of that television station in the Nuseirat refugee camp, in the center of the Gaza Strip.
These murders represent "a miserable attempt to obscure the truth and hide the crimes of genocide against our people," the party stated.
In view of this situation, the PFLP urged international journalistic and human rights institutions to condemn such acts and adopt urgent measures against Israel.
The Israeli Armed Forces denied that the deceased were journalists and accused them of being Islamic Jihad militants, which was denied by the Media Office of the authorities in the Strip.
The agency revealed the names of the deceased: photojournalist Ayman Al-Jadi and journalists Faisal Abu Al-Qumsan, Muhammad Al-Ladaa, Fadi Hassouna and Ibrahim Al-Sheikh Ali.
It also recalled that more than 190 workers in the sector have been killed in the coastal enclave since the beginning of the conflict, in October 2023. (Text and photo: PL)
