Amor a la vida Meeting: 15 years bringing art closer to everyone

Camagüey, Jan 11. - The Amor a la vida cultural meeting celebrates its 15th anniversary this January and next Sunday, at its usual headquarters in the Ignacio Agramonte Birthplace Museum, the celebration for this new anniversary will take place.

Founded by Adolfo Arregoitia Arce, the space was created with the premise of bringing art to blind and visually impaired people, who due to their condition sometimes find it difficult to enjoy the artistic programming in the city.

Since 2010, members of the National Association of the Blind (ANCI, by its acronym in Spanish) in the territory can enjoy Camagüey’s musicians and they themselves are the protagonists, showing their skills for singing and the performing arts.

Throughout these 15 years, the Amor a la vida meeting was honored with the performances of the Camagüey Choir, the String Orchestra and oral storytellers, to name just a few.

They also organize contests in which those attending the meeting are awarded for their knowledge of cultural topics.

In this space intended especially for the members of the ANCI in Camagüey, it is a stage open to all types of audiences, attracted by the quality of the artistic proposals.

Next Sunday - at exactly 10:00 in the morning - a special edition of the Amor a la Vida meeting will take place to celebrate its 15th anniversary, which includes a performance by the renowned troubadour from Camagüey, Antonio Batista, said the founder and organizer of this space, Adolfo Arregoitia Arce.
