Florida, Camagüey, July 25.—The first secretary of the Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) in Camagüey, Walter Simón Noris, along with Florida leaders and government officials, visited several social and productive centers in the territory, where he inquired about their working conditions and the care provided to beneficiaries.
During the tour of the Maternal Home Amparo Carriera Montes, Simón Noris was interested in knowing details about the medical and nutritional care provided to the 26 pregnant women who remain hospitalized in the health institution and observed the actions of painting, replacement of lighting and installation of new fans in the rest areas of pregnant women.
During the tour, he also visited the home for children without family support, where five infants live. There, he recommended replacing some of the furniture to make the children's stay more comfortable.
At the end of the tour, the Party's First Secretary in Camagüey acknowledged the efforts of the Florida’s people, urged them to continue working to achieve better results, and expressed, "This is the best tribute to Fidel Castro Ruz on his centenary, advance together to obtain higher benefits".
