Havana, November 4 - The Ibero-American Congress on Science and Technology Management, Ibergecyt 2025, begins today at the Havana Convention Palace.
The event is convened by the Knowledge and Technology Management Company (Gecyt, for its acronym in Spanish), part of the InnoMAX Business Group, and the Havana Delegation of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Environment (Citma, for its acronym in Spanish).
Yadira Carrillo Frías, General Director of Gecyt, stated in a preview to Prensa Latina that this congress aims for participants to exchange experiences on topics of knowledge management, innovation, and technology.
The event, scheduled for November 4-7, is aimed at entrepreneurs, government representatives, innovators, scientists, academics, and students.
The official noted at the Citma headquarters that attendance is also expected from university staff, information centers, scientific-technological parks, and various economic actors.
According to the organizing committee, the thematic axes of the meeting include digital transformation, innovation management, sustainable local development, value chains and competitiveness, as well as social and corporate responsibility, among other issues.
The congress program, under the motto "Space for Innovation and Managerial Thinking," includes keynote lectures, panels, interactive workshops, research presentations, and multisectoral networking spaces.
Running parallel to the scientific meeting, the Havana Innovation for Development Fair will be held, during which participants can present their products, solutions, and new developments achieved in their areas of expertise.
The occasion will also be an opportunity for presenting commercial offers and conducting activities between related companies. (Text and photo: PL)
