Moscow, Nov 6.- The Russian Ministry of Defense reported this Saturday on a massive attack launched against military and energy targets in Kiev.
"In response to Ukraine's terrorist attacks against civilian targets in Russia, the Russian Armed Forces launched a massive attack this night with long-range precision weapons, both air and ground-based, including Kinzhal hypersonic air-launched ballistic missiles and long-range unmanned aerial vehicles," the statement reads.
According to the agency, the targets of the attack were Ukrainian military-industrial complex enterprises and energy facilities supporting their operation, as well as port infrastructure used by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Additionally, it specified that the established objectives were achieved and all designated targets were hit.
The Ministry of Defense has repeatedly clarified that this type of offensive is carried out in response to Ukrainian attacks on civilian infrastructure.
In recent days, Kiev has attacked numerous civilian targets in Russian territory, and several of these bombings resulted in fatalities among the civilian population. (Text and photo: RT)
