
New York, Jan 5.- The president of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro Moros, declared himself innocent in the narcoterrorism case this January 5 before U.S. justice in the Southern District Court of New York.
"I am innocent, not guilty, I am a decent man, I am still the president of my country," he declared before Judge Alvin Hellerstein.
Maduro's defense attorney is Barry Pollack, an experienced litigator who defended WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange.
