
Havana, Jan. 30 – Editorial Verde Olivo announced today in the capital that it will present 20 titles at the 34th Havana International Book Fair, scheduled for February 12 to 22 at its usual venue, the Morro-Cabaña Historical Military Park.
Of these, 11 are printed and nine are digital, its director, Reserve Colonel Roque Ernesto Garrigó Andreu, informed at a press conference. He highlighted that among the new releases are the first two volumes of The Military History of Cuba, Fidel in Our Blood and Dreams, andThe Sacred Cause: A History of Internationalism.
The program also includes a performance by the Children's Group of the José Martí Technical Military Institute with a theatrical play, and over 1,600 copies of texts, Verde Olivo magazines, posters, and calendars will be available for sale.
Garrigó Andreu added that the representations of Verde Olivo, from the Ministry of the Revolutionary Armed Forces, are part of the seventh edition of the Cultural Project Our History.
The other publishing houses that comprise it are Capitán San Luis, from the Ministry of the Interior; the Office of Historical Affairs of the Presidency of the Republic, the Morro-Cabaña Historical Military Complex, the Institute of Cuban History, and the Fidel Castro Center.
Cuba's greatest literary festival is dedicated to the centenary, this coming August, of Commander in Chief Fidel Castro (1926-2016), and Russia is the Guest Country of Honor. (Text and photo: ACN)
