Havana, Feb 11 - In compliance with bilateral migration agreements, 170 irregular migrants from the United States have been returned to Cuba.
In the first repatriation operation of this year from that country, 153 men and 17 women arrived at Havana's José Martí International Airport.
Three of these individuals were transferred to the investigative authorities as alleged perpetrators of criminal acts prior to leaving the national territory.
Cuban authorities have reaffirmed their commitment to regular, safe, and orderly migration, while reiterating the danger and life-threatening conditions involved in illegal departures from the country. (Text and Photo: Cubadebate)
