Camagüey, March 16.- The University of Medical Sciences of Camagüey and the mass media of the province reaffirmed this Friday their working alliances with the objective of continuing to develop the existing links to publicize the work of this academic institution in the various platforms in the territory.
In the context of the event for the Cuban Press Day, directors of the educational center and professionals of the journalistic union talked about the challenges of communication today and the need to further strengthen institutional relations, in order to disseminate more immediacy of investigative and scientific results, in addition to the role of the University Student Federation (FEU) on campus.
Dr. Tamara Chaos Correa, rector of the aforementioned house of higher education, other directors and professors participated in the event that constituted a space to project the actions of this stage through the signing of agreements that included the Provincial Directorate of Information and Social Communication, the Adelante newspaper, Televisión Camagüey, and the Provincial Radio Directorate.
Chaos Correa expressed that it is of marked relevance for both parties to ratify working relationships and highlighted the opportunity to reflect the achievements of the university community through graduations, sporting events, the recovery of important spaces and academic events, impossible to view without the media support.
After the signing, Pedro Cruz Moiset, provincial deputy director of Radio, said that "today the ties are strengthened with the Camagüey medical university, which has historically maintained joint work in terms of generating content of mutual interest."
It meant that this moment allows new guidelines to be drawn up to advance in Social Communication, of great value in the current Cuban context.
“For the media this means a very important opportunity, bilaterally, both when the institutions are interested in disseminating their work, and when the media needs the collaboration of the entities, in order to develop journalistic investigations or argue certain job issues that professionals want to do,” said Daicar Saladrigas González, director of the newspaper Adelante.
The University of Medical Sciences of Camagüey is outstanding in this work, said Saladrigas González, which we are very grateful for, because every year they update the agreement and this is a sign that this academic center cares about the management of communication for its daily performance.
Among the fundamental tasks to be promoted by the aforementioned academy is joint collaboration from an informative and cultural point of view, the creation of improvement strategies on various topics, the dissemination of FEU processes, and educational intervention projects. , such as the one that promotes oral health.
