Camagüey, 10 oct.- The painter writes because the images of his mind are sometimes possible through the pen and exceed the barriers of a canvas and the strokes of a brush.
Under this concept was born Sed, a book of poems by Joel Jover Llenderroso that saw the light thanks to a collaboration between the Asociación Hermanos Saíz de Camagüey and the Editorial Ácana as a way to honor this Youths Master in the Pórtico collection.
At the presentation, hosted by the Local Development Project Sabor y Arte, writer Jesús Aismar Zamora spoke about brevity and the ability to sketch a profound image in a few words that moves and makes one think about the transience of life, the aesthetics of beauty, love, and loneliness.
Maykel Sardaña Pérez, director of the local publishing house and who was responsible for the cover design of the book, explained that this first run allowed 20 copies to be published, However it is expected for the next International Book Fair a second with more texts available to lovers of poetry.
For Joel, Sed is a book of old age, not because of the years measured in time, but because of the maturity of its author, who chose not to focus on dimensions or pretensions in order to convey a message that can be interpreted by the reader from multiple perspectives, as they would with his paintings. Sed is intimate, simple, and deeply reflective.
He considers himself a reader who writes. He confesses that he doesn't follow grammatical rules or specific elements of poetic expression, and that's where the greatness of his literary work lies: it breaks assumptions and transgresses what is known.
Images that are possible, dreams, moments that will only see the light thanks to the word are this collection of poems, a part of Jover's visual collection in letters. (Text: Idaylén Rodríguez Rodríguez/Radio Cadena Agramonte) (Photos: Camagüey Provincial Book Center)
