From September 12th to 17th in 1973, the Commander in Chief Fidel Castro visited some areas in Vietnam, recently released in that moment, and he was the only foreign statesman who did it. In order to celebrate the 45th anniversary of this event, we evoke the Cuban leader’s tour through these snapshots.

The reason? The seventh edition of the Festival of the Tinajón, the same as each year proposes a meeting of Camagüey with their culture.
The Prado Museum in Camagüey?, it is heard exclaim incredulous to those who walk today near the Workers Square of this city. But, it is true: reproductions of the most famous paintings of artists of the stature of Goya , El Greco, Caravaggio, Sorolla, Velázquez, Zurbarán, Murillo, Rubens and many others, belonging to the collection of the almost bicentenary Spanish Museum, considered among the most important ones and visited ones of the world, are exhibited from February 2 in the land of tinajones (a large earthenware jar) .
As one of the most attractive and coveted of the Camagüey´s Culture Week is credited the Craft Fair 500 , with representation from creators of all provinces of the country.
Each January 30 is a call for peace and non-violence, a show of support to the pacifism that both reclaim the humanity. Campaigns, programs to combat this scourge in all its manifestations, social movements and other initiatives on a global scale, are the main actions of this day.
